How Fitness Saved My Life

My own fitness journey started after years of struggling with addiction to alcohol, food, and tobacco.

I felt weak defeated, dependent on substances, I was a nervous wreck. I had a beer belly, the beginnings of man titties, and a swollen face. My anxiety and depression were through the roof. I felt shame and had zero confidence.

 

I knew deep down inside there had to be a better way to live. My son had just been born and within a week his mother decided to move him away from me to live with her parents. I was at absolute rock bottom. The only way out was up!

At that time I decided enough was enough, I was going to get sober and become the man that my son needed me to be and one that I would be proud of. It was time to put down the bottle and pick up the weights!

 

I began training with a world-renowned bodybuilding coach and trained for 2 years on his personal coaching program learning how to cut weight, lift weights, do calisthenics, eat and put on lean muscle. He taught me everything I needed to know about how to eat, move and think to maximize energy while turning my body into an absolute machine.

 

Because of my background in Chinese medicine, I was able to evolve his process and include more holistic approaches while keeping the blueprint the same.

Most of all he became the voice in my head when things got hard that I relied on to get me through the hardest of times. The mindset to accomplish this lifestyle change was key to everything and it has entirely changed me forever.

 

Fitness truly saved my life, but the lessons I learned on my journey built the character of a man I’m proud of today. Today I have a blessed relationship with my son who is 5 years old, a thriving 5-star rated acupuncture practice, and incredible relationships in my life. I coach men and women on how to eat, move and talk to themselves in a way that allows them to continue to grow stronger. I get to positively impact their lives and their families!

 

I attribute all this to the mindset I learned on my fitness journey and I passionately NEED to share this with you!
